LapFlo™ ("LapFlo," "we," "our," or "us") provides a setup logging, lap timing, and analytics platform for short track oval racing, available via our website (lapflo.com) and our iOS mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating a LapFlo account or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use LapFlo:
Account information: username, email address, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
Race and setup data: information you voluntarily enter, including track names, race classes, car numbers, spring rates, tire pressures, stagger, wedge, camber/caster, shock settings, lap times, race results, and notes.
GPS location data: if you use the GPS Lap Timer feature, we collect your device's location while a timing session is active, in order to detect lap crossings and calculate lap times. Location is only accessed while the app is in use for this feature.
AI Advisor conversations: messages you send to and receive from our AI Setup Advisor feature, saved so you can access your conversation history.
Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed securely by Stripe. LapFlo does not collect or store your full payment card details.
Usage information: basic technical data such as device type and app version, used for debugging and improving the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the LapFlo service across web and mobile
Save and sync your setups, lap times, and AI Advisor conversations across devices
Calculate lap times using GPS data during active timing sessions
Process subscription payments and manage your account tier
Send account-related emails, such as sign-up confirmations, password resets, and service notifications
Improve and troubleshoot the app
Your race and setup data is private to your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not share your setups, lap times, or notes with other users, competitors, or third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following service providers, solely to operate LapFlo:
Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which securely stores your account and race data.
Stripe — our payment processor for Pro and Team subscriptions.
Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send account-related emails.
Anthropic — the AI provider powering our AI Setup Advisor feature. Messages you send to the AI Advisor are processed by Anthropic's API solely to generate a response.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LapFlo or its users.
4. Location Data
The GPS Lap Timer feature requires access to your device's location to function. Location data is used only to calculate lap times during an active session and is not collected in the background or when the feature is not in use. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, though this will prevent the GPS Lap Timer from working.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and race data for as long as your account remains active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, contact us using the information below, and we will delete your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Choices
You may update or correct your account information at any time within the app or website.
You may request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
You may disable location permissions for the app through your device settings.
You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the link provided in those emails.
7. Children's Privacy
LapFlo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access-controlled databases, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of LapFlo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
